Mid South Mini Thunder Series to Storm North Georgia Speedway this Weekend

This Saturday night, May 16th, the future stars of motorsports roll into North Georgia Speedway as the Mid South Mini Thunder Tour invades the Fastest 1/3 Mile in the South. Featuring fearless young drivers ranging from just 7 years old all the way up to 14, fans can expect an all-out, elbows-up battle from green flag to checkered flag. These young racers may be small in stature, but they bring massive talent, determination, and absolutely zero fear every time they hit the racetrack.

The Mid South Mini Thunder Tour has quickly become one of the most exciting youth racing series in the Southeast, showcasing the next generation of racers looking to make their mark in the sport. From slide jobs to photo finishes, these young competitors know only one speed — wide open.

Joining the action Saturday night will be North Georgia Speedway’s exciting local divisions including the Atlanta Kubota Late Models, Liberty Racing Review 602 Late Models, CV Race Products 604 Late Models, Jasper Generators Open Wheel Modifieds, and the North Georgia Toyota Front Wheel Drives. With a stacked lineup from top to bottom, fans are guaranteed a full night of side-by-side racing action and hometown heroes battling it out under the lights.

General Admission gates open at 4:00 PM. Adult GA tickets are just $15, while kids tickets are only $10, making this one of the best family entertainment values in North Georgia.

And speaking of family… we want to give a HUGE shoutout to our educators! Teachers and school district employees are the real crew chiefs of the next generation, helping shape tomorrow’s leaders every single day. So this Saturday night, we’re throwing the green flag for YOU. All educators receive FREE General Admission with a valid school district employee ID. That’s right — trade the lesson plans for race programs, swap the school bells for race engines, and enjoy a well-deserved night at the races on us!
